THE CAMP
Our Amazing Mara Camp is surrounded on three sides by the Maasai Mara Reserve. Our private 300 acres provides an important buffer zone between the wildlife and the community.
As our camp is not fenced, we regularly have wildlife passing through camp, both day and night. There is no danger to guests or wildlife and we have day and night watchmen on hand to ensure that everyone is safe. However, we actively discourage guests from feeding the wild animals.

"I never knew of a morning in Africa when I woke up that I was not happy." - Ernest Hemingway

THE FOOD
Our camp boasts some exceptional chefs, who pride themselves on food full of flavour, prepared from the freshest ingredients available.
THE TENTS
Our camp is specifically designed to offer every guest the chance to feel like they are the only guests in camp! Each tent is en-suite, complete with flush toilets and hot showers 24 hours a day. (Perfect for washing away the safari dust at the end of a long and enjoyable day...)
All tents have their own independent solar power stations, allowing 24 hour uninterrupted power and lighting.
Add in room service and you might never want to leave!
FACILITIES
High Speed Wifi
We understand that sometimes you need to be in contact with family/friends and businesses need to keep running so we have installed Starlink in the main area as well as the tents, incase you need some privacy for a meeting.
Daily Housekeeping
Our tents have daily house keeping, which will be done while you are out on your game drive. We have laundry service which is done daily free of charge. Also every evening there is turn down service to get your room ready for the night.
In-Room & Private Dining
We happily provide room service to your tents, whether it is morning coffee with cookies, a gin & tonic in the afternoon or a private meal on your very own veranda we can accommodate hopefully all of your wishes.
Bottled Water
At our Amazing Mara Camp we are doing our best to reduce our carbon footprint and to lessen the burden on landfills. Therefor we do not offer complimentary plastic bottles of drinking water. Instead, we decant from larger sealed bottles into water dispensers around camp, and in your Amazing Mara safari car. All water (and ice) offered in our Amazing Mara Camp, be it at meals, on game drives, or in your room, is safe to drink and is purchased from Kenya’s premier water bottling company. Our drinking water is all complimentary but if you specifically need sealed bottles of water then these are available for purchase at an additional price. We also request guests, if possible, to bring your own reuseable water bottle – we also have branded aluminium reusable water bottles for purchase in our boutique.
Solar 24/7 Power
The Amazing Mara Camp is powered by the sun. We have 24 hour power in all of our rooms and within the main area. This power is 220v and so, if your phone, camera or laptop charger has a different power demand, you will need to bring an adapter. Please note that our power systems CANNOT support hair driers, hair straighteners or some models of CPAC machines. Feel free to check with us an advance if you are not sure of your power needs.
24/7 Hot Running Water
The Amazing Mara Camp has 24 hour hot water in all of our ensuite tents. This water is heated from ethically harvested local wood. As the heaters are a discrete distance from your tent, it might take a minute or two for your shower water to heat up.

EXTRAS
Please check your booking voucher to confirm whether game drivers, other activities or drinks are included in your stay at the Amazing Mara Camp. (options vary on which package you are booked under), but certain items are available at an extra cost.
Massages: We can arrange for a professionally trained and fully qualified masseuse to come and help work out the kinks from your body, in the comfort of your own tent. As these masseuses are freelance we need to book them in advance.
Hot Air balloon Safari: Silently drifting above the rolling plains of the Maasai Mara is a real bucket list experience and is very popular, so advance booking is highly recommended.
We can also arrange for a private dinner, Maasai dancers, or even help set up a special occasion (engagement proposal, birthday cake etc) – so please discuss this when booking your stay, or with our manager when you arrive in camp. (*some of these extras will incur an additional cost)
Massages are available upon request and need to be booked in advance. These are an extra cost and are generally done on the veranda of your tent. We only use qualified and fully licenced masseuses.
Amazing Mara Boutique
We do have a small gift and boutique shop on site, which stocks a selection of branded fleeces, caps, water bottles and even safari shirts. We also stock a limited supply of memory cards for cameras, as well as basic toiletries and a selection of local Maasai souvenirs.
